Put a take-home pay calculator on your site

A free, ad-free paycheck calculator your readers can use without leaving your page. Salary or hourly, all 50 states and DC, 2026 federal and state tax rates. Pick a state, copy the code, paste it into any post.

State

A state version opens on that state and credits its calculator page. Readers can still switch states.

Theme

Paste it into an HTML block: Custom HTML in WordPress, Code in Squarespace, Embed in Webflow, an HTML card in Ghost.

Live preview

The credit link sits on your page, under the frame.

Terms of use

  • Free for any site, personal or commercial. No sign-up and no API key.
  • Keep the credit link that comes with the code, visible next to the calculator. You can restyle it, and you can add rel="nofollow" if your site's link policy calls for it.
  • Don't alter the calculator, cover it, or hide its branding, and don't present it as your own tool or as an endorsement of your site.
  • The figures are estimates for planning, not tax or legal advice. We update the tax rules every year and the embed picks them up automatically.
  • There are no ads inside the widget. We count loads and uses anonymously with Google Analytics; nothing a reader types is stored or sent to analytics.
  • We may change the widget's design or features, or withdraw it, at any time.

Questions

Will it slow my page down?
The frame loads lazily, only when a reader scrolls near it. It is a single HTML document of about 5 KB compressed, with no web fonts, no framework and no ads; the analytics script loads after the page is idle.
What does it calculate?
Take-home pay per paycheck and per year from a salary or hourly wage, with federal income tax, Social Security, Medicare, state income tax and state payroll taxes like California SDI, using 2026 rates. For 401(k), dependents and city taxes it links readers to the full calculator.
Does it work in dark mode?
By default it follows the reader's system setting. Pick Light or Dark above to fix it to your site's colours.
Can I change the size?
It fits any width from 300px up and is designed for 520px. Change the width in the iframe's style; the height takes care of itself with auto-resize on.
